Superintendent's Message

Welcome to West Monona Community School District! We are a district that employs 130 staff members and serve approximately 650 students in grades PK-12. It is truly an honor to serve as Superintendent of West Monona CSD, where students come first! We believe every child deserves to be treated with respect, cared for, and challenged to reach their greatest potential. We do this by creating a positive, collaborative culture where we set high expectations for students and staff academically, behaviorally, and professionally.

We believe everyone in the community plays a role in a student’s education and their success. As a community, we believe we owe it to our children to take a vested interest in them and to have the resolve to do whatever it takes to help students in our community achieve their greatest potential. As a result, we have an excellent working relationship with many community organizations and work together to ensure we are preparing our children for the world in which they will live. We empower our students to persevere despite the many challenges they may face. Community members and family support and encourage students to set high expectations for themselves and their future. We acknowledge that true success is being able to overcome obstacles and having the resolve to greet any difficulty as an opportunity to learn. At West Monona Community School District, it is our mission to prepare our children for the world in which they will live. Therefore, educators in every role, advocate for students and exhibit an attitude of never being satisfied with the status quo.

We are excited to start another school year and make this year the best one yet! On behalf of the Board of Education and the entire West Monona Community School District, thank you for you for visiting our website. We invite you to come visit our schools and be a part of this great community.
