West Monona Student Award for the month of November

  • Mr. Groves

    • The student I have chosen is MaKenna Hane. MaKenna has an outstanding work ethic. She challenged herself with a difficult project. She was very creative in the use of different materials within the project. The final product is an outstanding example of what can be achieved with hard work, creativity, and determination.

  • Mr. Roeder

    •  Maggie Lage

      • The student I have chosen for student of the month is Maggie Lage. Maggie has an outstanding work ethic and she consistently strives to do her best both in the classroom and in sports. Maggie is a 4-sport athlete, competing in XC, Dance, Track, and Softball. Countless times, Maggie was at the school very early in the mornings to get her XC running in so she could go to dance practice after school. Outside of athletics, Maggie is always pushing herself to be the best in the class and always has a positive attitude. Maggie consistently treats others with the utmost respect and is always willing to help others.

  • Ms. Pohlman

    • Maylene Foster

    • Respect.  There is a quote that I read once, and I don’t even know who said it, but it’s, “Respect people’s feelings, even if it doesn’t mean anything to you. It could mean everything to them.” On a daily basis, the student I chose for “Student of the Month” is respectful to me, to others, and to the school, even when she thinks no one is watching. She doesn’t expect recognition or rewards but shows respect because that is just who she is as a person. I am so thankful that she is in my class this year, and I know that she will be successful in everything she puts her mind to. My “Student of the Month” is Maylene Foster.

  • Mr. Ferris

    • Brooklyn Hupke

      • Brooklyn works hard in my class striving for excellence every day.  But, more importantly, she is one of the kindest and most respectful students I have ever taught.  She starts every day by coming to class and telling me good morning.  She works hard to complete a task, but is not too proud to ask for help.  Smart, hardworking, kind, respectful.  Brooklyn, you will go far.
