West Monona Meal Donation Policy

When money is received as a donation to put in meal accounts, the following procedures will be utilized:

  • A list for each group below will be generated weekly.
  • Money will be deposited into family accounts, beginning with the most negative balance, in the following order:
    • Inactive free meal families with a balance below $0.00.
    • Active free meal families with a balance below $0.00.
    • Inactive reduced meal families with a balance below $0.00.
    • Active reduced meal families with a balance below $0.00.
    • Inactive paid meal families with a balance below $0.00.
    • Active paid meal families with a balance below $0.00.
  • Deposits of donated funds in accounts are only to bring the balance back to $0.00.
  • Each family is eligible for a maximum allocation of donated funds of $100 per year with a year being defined as July-June.
  • Ala Carte purchases are not eligible for donated funds.
  • A list of the donated funds and the accounts that received donated funds will be kept on file in the business office.
  • Debt occurred by families due to failure to complete free and reduced applications in a timely manner may not be eligible for donated funds.
