West Monona received a notification from the Iowa Boys Athletic Association that we are one of the schools who did not have any unsportsmanlike ejections for the 2024-25 school year! Mr. Tom Keating, the executive director, congratulated us as one of the 183 schools in the state of Iowa who achieved this. Only 46% of the schools in Iowa received this letter. This served as a notice that conduct and sportsmanship count in High School Athletics. Congratulations to all our coaches and student athletes who were involved this past year.

Spartans kick off their season in Paullina tonight as they take on the Wolverines of South O'Brien! Grab your friends and fill your cars so we can pack the stands and cheer on the boys! Kick off is at 7pm.

Attention HS Football, Volleyball and Cheer!! Your fall sports pictures are now avaible to view and purchase. Please follow the link. Please note, you do NOT have to have PayPal to make a purchase. Ordering for these pictures will close on September 22. Pictures will be delivered biweekly to the HS school, so if you order early, you won't have to wait to get your pictures. ***REMINDER*** Tomorrow, Wednesday, August 27th will be an 8:20 start time due to the 2:30 early out.

The first day of school is tomorrow, August 25th! Monday-Thursday are 2:30 dismissals with Wednesday, August 27th being an 8:20 start. Friday, August 29th, will be a 1:30 out! Hope everyone has a great first week of school!

Just a heads up, there will NOT be a concession stand tonight for the Scrimmage.

Who's ready for some Friday Night Lights?? Tonight come on out and watch as your West Monona Spartans take on the Big Reds of Missouri Valley. This is a Scrimmage and admission to this event is Gatorade/sports drink. Kick off is at 6pm.

Early morning Advanced Health Topics will have their first class Monday, August 25th!

Spartans! High School Volleyball is having a scrimmage tonight from 4-7. The scrimmage is open to the public! Please come watch your Spartans ladies! A high school volleyball parent meeting will be held after the scrimmage at 7 P.M. in the high school gym.

Open House is tonight! Elementary open house is from 5-6 P.M. Middle School and High School open house is from 6-7 P.M. Please note that if you are planning on attending the MS/HS open house, the main entrance is under construction currently so please use the middle school/administrative doors to enter the building!
