**ATHLETIC SCHEDULE UPDATE** The WVC championship wrestling tournament scheduled for tomorrow in Holstein has been postponed due to the winter weather. The new wrestling date will be Monday, January 22nd and the new location will be in Schaller. In addition, the JV Girl's basketball tournament in Newell has been canceled. GO SPARTANS!!!
**ATHLETIC SCHEDULE UPDATE** Due to the winter storm, the girls' wrestling tournament in Le Mars for tomorrow has been canceled, no makeup date for that meet. The JV/V B/G basketball games in Lawton have also been postponed, the makeup date for this basketball game is Tuesday, January 23rd at the regular times. Lastly, due to the expected weather on Monday, the rescheduled basketball game against Westwood at home will be rescheduled and will now be played on Saturday, January 20th at the regular times. Basketball Cheer will be having their Annual Cheer Clinic Sunday, January 21st from 4:30-6:00pm at the High School. They will perform Monday, January 22nd during halftime of the girls game. Forms were sent home Friday, but here is a link to the google form incase you didn't receive it. With the snow days, the turn in time has been extended to this Friday, January 12th. If you turn it in later than Friday, your child can still participate, however they may not get a shirt and bow. Paper forms can be turned into the elementary office or to Audrey at the MS/HS office. The weather is very cold. Elementary students must have a hat & gloves, in order to go outside for recess. Please make sure you are sending these with your student(s) daily. The handbook states: Temperature & wind chill factor must be 5 degrees or above to be outdoors. Other factors will be considered. We use www.weather.com as a guideline. Students are required to wear coats if it is below 55 degrees, hats and gloves below 32 degrees. The “feels like” temperature will be used to determine this. If students do not have proper clothing, they may not be able to attend outside
recess that day. If your child is in need of a coat, hat, or gloves, please reach
out to the school.

Happy Thursday Spartans! The Spartan wrestling team is back in action tonight at the WVC meet in Kingsley-Pierson, wrestling starts at 6 pm. The Spartan B/G JV/V Basketball teams are also back in action at home tonight as they host the Tigers of Tekamah-Herman.
