🏐 JH Volleyball Practice Information Junior High Volleyball practice begins Monday, August 24th, after school. 8th GRADE DANCERS!!! Interested in participating in the West Monona Dance Team? Come to tryouts on August 21st where you will learn choreography, observe practice, go over technique, and discuss expectations. Feel free to contact head coach, Mackenna Chapman with any questions! 🏈 FOOTBALL PARENT SCRIMMAGE TONIGHT! Our high school football team will hold its Parent Scrimmage tonight at 6:00 PM. Come out and get an early look at the team as we prepare for the upcoming season! 📍 Parent Meeting: A football parent meeting will take place immediately following the scrimmage. We look forward to seeing everyone tonight! 🏈

There will be a JH Football parent meeting on Tuesday, August 18th at 5:30pm in the auditorium.

High school volleyball and football practice begin Monday, August 10th. Volleyball 8-11am Football 4-6pm All high school athletes must have an updated physical and concussion form on file before they are able to participate in practice.

High School football practice starts tomorrow, August 10th. Please meet in the MS Gym for the pre practice meeting at 3pm.

High school cross country practice begins Monday, August 10th. Please meet at the school at 4:00 PM. All high school athletes must have an updated physical and concussion form on file before they are able to participate in practice. Junior high students who are interested in cross country are encouraged to attend, but attendance is not required.

Football apparel is now live! Please follow the link to order. This link will be available to order from the whole football season! Please note the pickup/shipping. If you select pickup, it is at their location in Sioux City. If you have not picked up your state softball shirt, they are in the high school office. Office hours are Tuesday and Thursday 8-12.

Join us for the West Monona 8–12 Boys Basketball Camp, hosted by Morningside College basketball players! 📅 Saturday, August 8 ⏰ 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM 📍 West Monona High School – Main Gym 💲 Cost: $60 This camp is a great opportunity to develop your basketball fundamentals, compete with other players, and learn from current Morningside College athletes. Reminder: Dead Week Begins Sunday The Iowa High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) and Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU) annual Dead Week will be observed from July 26 through August 2. During this mandatory no-contact period: • No school-sponsored practices, workouts, camps, or team activities may be held. • Coaches and school staff may not have contact with student-athletes regarding athletic activities. • School athletic facilities are closed for athletic use during this time. • Student-athletes are welcome to work out on their own or with family members at locations not affiliated with the school. We encourage everyone to take this opportunity to recharge, spend time with family and friends, and come back refreshed for another exciting school year. Enjoy your week, Spartans!

Online registration opens Tuesday, July 28. Families can register through the Campus Parent Portal on the West Monona website or via the Campus Parent App.
