West Monona Community School District

West Monona is working to create an archery club for students to begin sometime during the 2026-27 school year. As we work on development of this club we are looking for individuals who would have interest in becoming a volunteer coach. The district would provide training and background checks for those selected as coaches. Please contact the high school office at 712-433-2043 with your name and contact information if interested.

West Monona Boys basketball is hosting a camp on July 6th & 7th at the high school. The camp is for West Monona boys and girls going into grades 6th, 7th, and 8th, and boys and girls in high school. The cost of the camp is $80 per kid, and that covers both days. Each group will go for two hours per day. Basketball Trainer Shane Hennen will be running the camp for us this year. Shane has been a basketball trainer for the past 6+ years, he has a huge following on apps like TikTok, Instagram, and Youtube. Parents can register their kids at www.wmyouthsports.com under the basketball tab. Parents can also reach out to Coach Holverson at 712-420-9911 to register or with any questions. The dates are set and the times for each session each day are pending and will be sent out as soon as those are finalized.

UPDATE to Summer Food Schedule:
FREE Summer Food will be open tomorrow, Thursday June 18th. Pick up is from 11:30-12:30 at West Monona Elementary, by the loading dock on 3rd St. Reminder: if the child is not present only the Parent/Guardian may pick up the meal.

The scheduled home softball game on June 6th, against Cherokee will be an AWAY game, at Cherokee. JV will play at 11:00am with Varsity to follow at 1:00pm.

Tonight's home High School baseball game has been postponed until Tuesday, May 26th. Varsity only will play at 6pm.
