***ATHLETIC SCHEDULE UPDATE*** Tonight’s Spartan’s Baseball game will be at home instead of in Mapleton. The Spartan Softball team is still traveling to Mapleton. Also, there is NO BASEBALL tournament this weekend in Mapleton for the Spartan baseball team. JV first pitch tonight is set for 5:30 with Varsity to follow. GO SPARTANS!!!
There will be a MS awards assembly on Thursday, May 27 at 2:00 p.m. in the auditorium located at 1314 15th Street, Onawa, Iowa. Parents, grandparents, and other family are welcome. Please contact the middle school with any questions or concerns at 712-433-9098.

The vaccination provided on Wednesday, 5/26/21 will be the Pfizer shot. Students must be at least 12 years old to get the shot.
COVID 19 Student Immunization Clinic: Burgess Health will provide immunization against COVID 19 to interested students and parents on Wednesday, May 26 from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. in the HS library at 1314 15th Street, Onawa, Iowa. Shots will be administered by reservation only. Reservations can be made by calling the HS office at 712-433-1887.

Happy Monday Spartans!!! Good Luck to the Girls Golf Team today!! The Spartan girls golf team is at the Akron Golf Club in the Class 1A Girls Regional Golf Tournament. Tee Time is set for 9:30am. GOOD LUCK!! GO SPARTANS!!!
Starting immediately, masks will no longer be required for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year in school facilities, at school events, or on district transportation. This includes at graduation this Sunday. There are also no limits on the number of guests who can attend graduation. Students, staff, and community members will have our full support if they choose to continue to wear masks, however, masking will now be a personal choice.
This change comes as a result of new Iowa Department of Public Health guidance that was released late Friday afternoon. As a result of this guidance, students who are exposed to positive COVID-19 cases are no longer required to quarantine. Only those who test positive will be required to isolate per the new guidance.
