Spartan Basketball Fans! On Thursday night, the Spartan Boys knocked off the 3rd-seeded Westwood Rebel to advance to the semi-finals of the WVC Tournament! The Boys will now play in Ida Grove on Monday against OABCIG for a spot in the WVC Championship game, JV starts at 6, with varsity to follow. The Spartan Girls won last night; the girls will now play Ridge View on Tuesday in Holstein, JV at 6, with varsity to follow. Here is a look at the updated WVC brackets. GO SPARTANS!!!

IT IS REGIONALS WRESTLING TIME! The Wolves are heading to Lewis Central today for the Class 2A Regional Qualifying tournament to earn a spot in the Girls State Wrestling Tournament. The gym will open at 3 with wrestling starting at 4 today at Lewis Central H.S. in Council Bluffs. Basketball Fans, the Western Valley Conference basketball tournament brackets have been released! The Spartan boys are a 6-seed and will play Westwood in the first round on Thursday, Jan. 30th, with JV at 6:00 and Varsity to follow. The Spartan girls are a 9-seed and will host Siouxland Christian in the first round on Friday, Jan 31st, with Varsity-only at 6:00. GO SPARTANS!!!

The weather is cold, students need to bring a winter coat, gloves, hats, etc. As the handbook states: Students are required to wear coats if it is below 55 degrees, hats and gloves below 32 degrees. The “feels like” temperature will be used to determine this. If students do not have proper clothing, they may not be able to attend outside recess that day. If your child is in need of a coat, hat, or gloves, please reach out to the school.
