1. We've been directed to park and enter the West Monona school building in specific areas due to planned demolition and construction for both the winter and spring. This will apply for all drivers, students, employees, coaches, and parents.
2. All students must park in the main parking lot. This includes zero hour advanced health topics class. Only the front doors will be open to enter the building for zero-hour and/or other classes. All students will enter the school through the front doors.
3. All athletic team transportation will pick up and drop off in front of the high school in the circle drive.
These three rules prohibit parking by the weight room, and parking in the grass opposite the bus barn and gas pump. These rules prohibit parking by the bus barn or by the trailer house. The rules have been put in place to alleviate congestion around the worksite. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions you have.

Happy Friday, Spartans! The Spartan Girls' basketball team is back in action tonight as they travel to Correctionville for a non-conference matchup with River Valley. This is a varsity-only matchup starting at 6 p.m. The Spartan Boys' JV/V teams are returning home tonight to battle Bancroft-Rosalie. 3-quarters of JV begins at 6 with varsity to follow. Happy Thursday Spartans! The Spartan JH Boys and Girls basketball teams will close out the 2024 season tonight against Kingsley-Pierson. The Girls will be on the road in Pierson for a 6-quarter contest starting at 4. The Boys are at home with the 7th grade beginning at 4 and the 8th grade to follow. The Spartan JV/V Boys Basketball team is on the road today as they travel to Dunlap to battle the Boyer Valley Bulldogs, JV at 6, Varsity to follow. Tickets can be purchased on Bound. The Spartan Wrestling team is back in action tonight as they travel to Sloan for a WVC meet. Wrestling starts at 6. GO SPARTANS!!!
The weather is cold, students need to bring a winter coat, gloves, hats, etc. As the handbook states: Students are required to wear coats if it is below 55 degrees, hats and gloves below 32 degrees. The “feels like” temperature will be used to determine this. If students do not have proper clothing, they may not be able to attend outside recess that day. If your child is in need of a coat, hat, or gloves, please reach out to the school.

Wrestling fans, there will be NO Concessions tonight at this meet. The Spartan JV/V teams are also heading to Ridge View tonight for a WVC battle with the Raptors in the North Gym. JV girls start at 4, JV boys at 5, Varsity girls at 6, and Varsity boys to follow. The Spartan JH boys and girls are also on the road today as they travel to Charter Oak for a B/G matchup, with girls starting at 4 and the boys to follow. GO SPARTANS!!! GO WOLVES!!!

There will be no Driver Education class tomorrow morning, December 14th, due to the impending weather. The next class will be Saturday, January 11th at 8:00 A.M. at West Monona High School.
