PK-5 parents don’t forget that you can pick up new printed materials Monday between 8 am-8 pm from the elementary entryway. The lights are on a timer so go on in even if it is dark, the lights will come on and the building is open until 8 pm.

Due to lack of participation, we are removing Turin from our list of free meal sites. We will continue to provide free meals in Blencoe and Onawa. Thank you, again, to our ROCK STAR food service workers that are working tirelessly to help our students in their time of need!

Rumor Control: There is no meeting taking place today to determine how long school will be closed. As of right now, we are scheduled to reopen on April 14th. Closing longer will only occur upon the recommendation of the Governor, CDC, and/or Iowa Department of Public Health.

Elementary parents, the printed materials available at the school from 8am-8pm tomorrow are the same materials that were emailed to you. It is available to help those who could not print the materials on their own.

Governor Reynolds announced at 8:15 this evening that all Iowa schools should close for four weeks effective immediately. We apologize for the short notice, but want to be sure we keep our students, staff and community safe by following our Governor's recommendation. More information to come as this is a developing situation.

West Monona Speech students had a good day at the District Individual Speech Contest at Woodbury Central on Saturday, February 29th. Lexi Lander and Garrett Heisterkamp were awarded Division 1 ratings in the category of Public Address. Reed Reicks scored a "1" in the very difficult category of Solo Improvisation. Other students awarded Division 2 ratings included: Lillie Schild for Acting Nedelle Smartt for Storytelling Olivia Phipps for Interpretive Reading - Poetry Alexys McLeod for Interpretive Reading - Prose Rosara Reicks for Solo Improvisation Reed Reicks for Public Address State Individual Contest will be held on March 14, 2020 at Kuemper Catholic High School.
The spring pops concert scheduled for Monday, March 9, has been rescheduled to Tuesday, March 10. It will start at 6:30 p.m. in the HS auditorium.
