The middle school and high school have been cleared due to smoke in the middle school boiler room. Everyone is safe. The situation has been fixed but there was considerable smoke in the boiler room. Students and staff will remain outside until the smoke can be cleared and the fire alarm system can be reset.

Happy Gameday Spartans! The Spartan volleyball team is at home tonight as they host conference rivals OABCIG! JVR is at 5:30, JV at 6:20, and Varsity at 7:30. The XC team is also back in action today as they travel north to Hull to run in the Nighthawk XC Meet. JH runs at 4:30 and Varsity starts at 5:20. GO SPARTANS!!!
Happy Saturday Spartans! The Spartan Volleyball team is heading north to South Dakota to play in the Canton Tournament. The Spartans will play Canton at 9, Baltic at 10:15, and West Sioux at 11:30. GO SPARTANS!!!

Spartan Fans!! It is time for FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS!!! The Spartan football team will be hosting Riverside in the season opener tonight at home! Kick-off is set for 7:00pm. Tonight is Youth/29ers Night and we will recognize all 29ers and JH football players at halftime along with a special cheer the youth cheerleaders have been working on. Come out and cheer on your Spartans! GO SPARTANS!!!

IT IS GAMEDAY SPARTANS!!! The Spartan Volleyball team is heading to Correctionville today for a Triangular against River Valley and Remsen St. Mary's. First serve is set for 5:30pm. The XC team is heading to Cherokee and running at Cherokee Country Club! RACE TIME HAS CHANGED. Due to the heat, the runners will now start at 7:00pm. GO SPARTANS!!!

Any 7th or 8th grader interested in playing jr high football needs to meet Coach Holverson & Coach Merley in the library after school tomorrow Wednesday, August 23. We are going to have a team meeting and hand out equipment due to the heat.
Happy Tuesday Spartan Community! As we approach the upcoming sport season, we wanted to announce that all West Monona Varsity home athletic events will now be $6.00 per person. There are many schools in our area that are $7.00 per person so please be aware when you are traveling to different schools. West Monona does offer season passes for sale, prices are $60 for students and $110 for adults. GO SPARTANS!!!
