Good morning parents and students. This is a reminder that the Middle School and High School have our open house this evening from 6:00 -7:00. We are excited to start the 22-23 school year. Please feel free to attend and meet your teachers or to pick up schedules. You may also schedule a time to meet with the principal or guidance counselor regarding your schedule. Please note the schedules are subject to change between now and the start of school. Students may also pick up their schedules on Tuesday morning before the first day of school. Students will be issued their computers on Tuesday, August 23 during the first day of school. Please call me with any questions you may have at 712-433-2453. If you would like your student to participate in the West Monona Cheer Clinic, please stop in the elementary office & pick up a form. Completed forms must be turned into the office, no later than August 19th at noon.
Football is finally here! Monday, August 8th, we will start official football practice. The weight room will be open still from 6:30 to 7:30. We will meet in Mr. Doorenbos’s room at 4:00 for a team meeting and practice from 5:00 to 8:00. All high school students are welcome to join. If you still need equipment, please meet at the wrestling room at 3:30 to get your stuff. GO SPARTANS!!!
If your child will be playing sports this year they need an updated physical. They CAN NOT practice until they have an updated physical. You can get physical forms in the HS/MS office and they have them at the Family Medicine Clinic. If you have a new physical you can drop it off in the HS/MS office. Go Spartans!!

HS Volleyball Practice starts Monday, August 8th! There will be a short informational meeting for parents on Sunday, August 7th 6:30pm in the HS Commons. Schedules and all important dates for the teams community outreach will be given at this time along with expectations.
Conditioning will continue MWF 8-10am for the first two weeks of practice, but no longer be optional starting Monday.

Reminder:29ers Youth Football registration is currently going on and will be until August 5th at 11:45 pm. 29ers Youth Football is for any child going into 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th grade that attends West Monona, Westwood, or Whiting Community Schools.
