Tonight is also Senior Night for the Spartan's Boys Basketball team. The Spartans take on MVAOCOU, with the JV starting at 6:00pm and Varsity boys tip-off is set at 7:00pm! ATTENDANCE FOR TONIGHT: Athlete's household plus grandparents, and the FIRST 100 PEOPLE through the doors. You don't need a ticket, we will check people off at the door. GO SPARTANS!!!
"Students - a reminder that auditions for the West Monona Variety Show are this week! This is open for ALL students 6-12th grade. If you have a talent, skill, or hobby that you would like to show off, come and audition! We will accept anything, as long as it's school appropriate. Audition forms are located in the high school office and sign up sheets are located in the hallway outside the choir room. The Spartan basketball team is in action tonight in Missouri Valley. Tonight is only Varsity Girls and Boys. Girls game starts at 6:00pm with the boys to follow. Restrictions in Missouri Valley is household members of the athlete plus two (2) tickets. You DO NOT need to have a physical ticket, they will check people off at the door. GO SPARTANS!!!
Congratulations to the Spartans wrestling team on Saturday!! Your Spartans placed 2nd place in the Sectional Team Duals and will now wrestle on Tuesday (2/9) in Moville at the Regional Team Dual Tournament for a chance to go to State Team Duals. West Monona will battle South Central Calhoun at 6:00pm. The winner of that dual wrestles Woodbury Central at 7:30pm. To get tickets, you must go online again and order through Hometown Ticketing, Spectators go to the IHSAA website to purchase tickets. Here is the link: https://www.iahsaa.org/resources/tickets/. Clarification on Governor Reynold's latest proclamation
I hope you are enjoying your weekend! I wanted to send out clarification following the Governor's latest proclamation removing her mask mandate for businesses and gatherings. This does not change mask requirements at school. We will continue to require masks at school and at school events at this time. By continuing to require students and staff to wear masks during school, and visitors to your campus to wear masks when in our buildings, we are able to drastically reduce the number of students and staff who are required to quarantine due to any exposure to any individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19.

Spartan Wrestling Fans!!! Saturday is Class 1A Sectional wrestling in Mapleton! Please remember, you must have an electronic to enter the event. Tickets WILL NOT be sold at the door. If you are unable to attend, the Class 1A Sectional 1 wrestling tournament it will be broadcasted live on theramcast.com. Theramcast.com is a free, live, audio broadcasting service. The broadcast for a pre-meet show at 11:45 with wrestling beginning at noon. They will run two mats and will cover all of the action on theramcast.com.
Fans can go to theramcast.com, click listen live, and then press play. If they are listening in for a specific team or wrestler they can email us the day of the broadcast through theramcast.com and we can highlight those matches even more.
